US Government Procurement Regulations ‘FAR/DFARS’ Webinar

FSi, along with co-sponsors Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, Nammo, NADIC and MLWeekes, is back to arrange its 5th annual FAR/DFARS seminar, which will be held as a webinar this year. As in years past, the seminar will address a wide range of relevant topics, targeting both beginner and advanced levels.

For Nordic/European companies in the defense industry, winning a US Government funded contract (or subcontract) can open the door to the biggest market for defense in the world.  At the same time, it also leads to numerous challenges related to compliance with US Government acquisition regulations, as well as responsibility to ensure subcontractors and suppliers are in compliance with the same.  A Contractor’s ability to build and maintain competency in the US Government’s Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) is key to a profitable and successful relationship with the US Government.

The Norwegian Defence and Securities Industry Association (FSi), in response to the need by the Norwegian defense industry, is once again hosting this important seminar, to bring together the Nordic and European defense industry in a forum where top US-based and European experts will spend 2 days teaching industry representatives how to navigate the complex requirements of US Government contracting.

Steve Knight, of Smith Pacther McWhorter Plc, will again lead our lineup of presenters.  We are also pleased that Senior Govt. Compliance Executives from Lockheed Martin, Vectrus, ML Weekes, and BAE Systems will attend to share their expertise. Additionally, we have invited the Branch Manager for the European Branch of the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) to share his insight with us.

Session topics include:  “CMMC and Cyber Security Issues;” “Allowable Cost and Practical Accounting Tips for European Companies;” “Understand the Flow-down Requirements to Better Protect Your Company and Supply Chain;” “How to Use the DFARS Checklist to Ensure Proposal Adequacy;” “DCAA Role and Priorities in Europe” and much more.

The intent of this seminar is for it to be relevant, accessible, and affordable to the Nordic and European defense industry.

Target audience: Industry staff working with FAR/DFARS, including staff in; pricing & proposals, contracts, procurement, sales and marketing, planning, finance, IT/data security, compliance/governmental relations and legal.

We hope you will prioritize attendance at this important event.
