FSi, along with co-sponsors Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, Nammo, NADIC and MLWeekes, is back to arrange its 6th annual FAR/DFARS seminar. As in years past, the seminar will address a wide range of relevant topics, targeting both beginner and advanced levels.
For Nordic/European companies in the defense industry, winning a US Government funded contract (or subcontract) can open the door to the biggest market for defense in the world. At the same time, it also leads to numerous challenges related to compliance with US Government acquisition regulations, as well as responsibility to ensure subcontractors and suppliers are in compliance with the same. A Contractor’s ability to build and maintain competency in the US Government’s Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) is key to a profitable and successful relationship with the US Government.
The Norwegian Defence and Securities Industry Association (FSi), in response to the need by the Norwegian defense industry, is once again hosting this important seminar, to bring together the Nordic and European defense industry in a forum where top US-based and European experts will spend 2 days teaching industry representatives how to navigate the complex requirements of US Government contracting.
Steve Knight, of Smith Pacther McWhorter Plc, will again lead our lineup of presenters. We are also pleased that Senior Govt. Compliance Executives from Lockheed Martin, ML Weekes, BAE Systems, Leidos, CACI, DCMA, Nammo and Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace will attend to share their expertise.
Session topics include: "DCMA Audits and Interactions with Industry – A Case Study" , " What is the NDAA and Why Should European Contractors Care?" "Managing the Prime – Subcontractor Relationship", "CMMC and Cyber Security Update" and much more.
The intent of this seminar is for it to be relevant, accessible, and affordable to the Nordic and European defense industry.
Target audience: Industry staff working with FAR/DFARS, including staff in; pricing & proposals, contracts, procurement, sales and marketing, planning, finance, IT/data security, compliance/governmental relations and legal.
We hope you will prioritize attendance at this important event. The hosting site for the event will be Clarion Hotel Oslo.
